Take care of the framework before starting:
Make yourself plain in which environment you want to use Enterprise Microblogging: Project communication? Team communication? Involvement of external partners? Derive concrete and individual goals for your company in using Communote.
Make sure you have the management’s support for your intentions. Enterprise Micoblogging will only be a successful with the appropriate support and attention of the management. Also use Communote as a communication channel for Change Management processes in the enterprise or as a speaking tube for management. By using and involving the management, you can also convince them of the advantages and the benefit of Microblogging in your enterprise.
Act on the principle: “Start small – think big.” Develop an overall picture and a goal for the use of Microblogging. But start in small steps and always keep the goal in mind.
Emphasize that Web 2.0 does not equal Enterprise 2.0. Though work and communication should always be fun also in an enterprise enviroment, it is straightened strictly on the work context. Enterprise Microblogging adapts the idea of the popular Microblogging service “Twitter”, but it is not the same. Believe in your employees and colleagues to deal responsible with Microblogging. Based on our experience this will be thanked with high motivation and satisfaction. Spam, vandalism and inappropriate comments will not appear.

After taking care of the basic framework, the implementation process begins. Improve productivity through modern communication. Step by Step. We would like to suggest the following approach.

7 steps to a successful use of microblogging in the enterprise:

  1. Invite participants.
  2. Define topics and fields of use.
  3. Gain first experience.
  4. Define the rules of the game.
  5. Integration into existing structures.
  6. Take off.
  7. Expansion of microblogging to new topics and projects.

We provide you a checklist, including questions and answers for each of the 7 steps. Only after a successful test or pilot phase in a limited team focused on selected topics and projects in which you gained experience with Microblogging you should execute the corporate use. You decide yourself how long or short this phase is.

We wish you many success in implementing Communote – Enterprise Microblogging in your company and we are gladly available for your questions. We are also very interested in your experiences in implementing and using Microblogging in your company (or organization)!
