The new independence allows us to focus on the development of our product and Online Service (SaaS). From now on we will publish at least every 3 months a new release of Communote. The steady improvement in usability, internationalization, and the implementation of new and user centered features for personal information management are the focus for 2012. Soon we will inform you in detail how Communote will develop further and improve your team and project communication.

The Communote GmbH is as an subsidiary still closely related to the Communardo Software GmbH. The separation of Communardo is a logical and necessary step for the further development and future of our product. In this context Communardo continues the role as one important partner  for customer-specific projects.

What does this mean for you as a customer?
As a customer you will benefit directly from new features and improved services thus the increased focus on product development and online service.
All existing contracts have been transferred from 01.01.2012 to the Communote GmbH, Kleiststrasse 10a, 01129 Dresden. Contacts remains, but our e-mail addresses end  from now on ‘@communote.com‘ and no longer ‘@communardo.de’. For a limited time the old e-mail addresses are still active.

How it works: easily lock yourself on Facebook, and click on „I like this“.

Confluence and Communote must be able to communicate via http or https in both directions. Technically, a token of Confluence will be sent to Communote. On the basis of the token Communote turns calls to Confluence and gets, if the token is valid, the user data back. The settings are taken out of Communote via the admin interface.

With the use of the macro {communote-widget} the widget can be integrated into a Confluence page. By various parameter settings the configuration of the widget is determined, e.g. displayed blogs, filtering by tag, etc. The available configuration parameters are described in detail in the Administration Manual of Communote.

Furthermore, to use the Communote plugin a login in Communote is not longer required. The data can be queried directly from a primary LDAP protocol.

By the use of the Communote Plugin blogs can be easily and clearly illustrated in your Wiki page. This makes the communication and cooperation in your company even easier.

The new version contains significant changes in the administration area, e.g. the creation of user groups and license purchase option.
Communote remains free up to 10 users. Starting from July 1st 2010 user credits will be charged if you are using Communote with more than 10 active users. For the month of July 2010, you will automatically receive free credits for each active user in your system. Credits can be easily purchased through the administration area in Communote starting at maximum 1 € per User (excl. VAT) and month or even less if you purchase larger amounts of credits.

From July 1st 2010 Communote will be available for download at www.communote.com for installation within your company (Windows/Linux).
